2022 Student Bursary Contest Eligibility and Rules

Westoba Credit Union is giving away a $1000 bursary to one 2022 Manitoba High School Graduate!

To enter this bursary contest, please read our eligibility criteria and the full list of Contest Rules before using the form below to make your contest submission.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Entrants must provide a link to a single YouTube video submission not exceeding 1 GB in size – Acceptable file format: MP4 OR provide a written submission.
2. Video or written submission must include the following topics:
   • Your outstanding school and community leadership contributions.
     Example: Extracurricular activities, school involvement, community involvement.
   • What being a credit union member means to you.
3. Entrants must be a Westoba member to claim the bursary.
4. Children/family members of Westoba staff are eligible to enter the bursary contest.
5. Entrants to the contest assign permission for Westoba Credit Union Ltd. to use your written submission, images and audio/sound recordings in any media for any purpose and grant Westoba Credit Union Ltd. the rights to images and audio/sound recordings for perpetuity without payment or compensation.
6. If an entrant is under the legal age, they must provide permission from a legal guardian with their application.
7. Proof of enrollment or acceptance to a post-secondary institution within 12 months post-graduation must be provided to claim the Bursary funds.

Contest Rules:

1. To enter to win the $1000 bursary, contestants must meet the above eligibility criteria. An inability to do so will disqualify the contestant’s entry.
2. The contest opens on June 13th, 2022, at 9:00 AM CST and will run until June 30th, 2022, at 8:00 PM CST. The winner of the $1000 bursary will be selected at random by Westoba Credit Union.
3. To enter, you must submit your electronic application below, including a link to a YouTube video or written submission, and permission from a legal guardian if required before the contest period ends.
4. The winner of the contest must present to the Westoba branch of their choice, proof of enrollment or acceptance to a post-secondary institution within 12 months post-graduation.
