We are thrilled to introduce sister act, Isabella and Emelia Jenkins, as the newest media personalities to cover the Western Hockey League! Being a goalie, Isabella’s favourite player is Ethan Kruger, and Emelia’s favourite player is Vinny Iorio. The Jenkins duo joined the players on the bench to put them on the spot and ask the questions we all wanted to know! Take a moment to watch the video below to see the Jr. Reporters in action!
The contest, which ran from September 28th to November 19th, 2021, asked young Manitoba hockey fans between the ages of five to 12, to highlight their interviewing skills and show us why they should be our next Westoba Wheat Kings Jr. Reporter. In its sixth year, the contest drew interest from kids all over the province and encouraged contestants to showcase their passion for the sport, while practicing their interview skills.
