George Henderson currently serves on the following Board committees:

George Henderson was raised on a family farm north of La Rivière, Manitoba. He married his wife Lorette in 1962 and we went on to have four children. They owned and operated their farm for 45 years before retiring and transitioning the farm to their son Denis and his wife Heather, who have become the fifth generation on the family farm.

In 1973, George completed his Diploma in Agriculture. In 1980, He was elected to the Manitoba Canola Growers Association and served as Director for 10 years. In 1988, George was appointed to the Motor Transport Board by the provincial government and served there for 12 years. He was elected to the R.M. of Pembina council in 1996 and served as Councillor and Reeve for 11 years. In 1990, George completed the Appraisal course and articled with E.P. Cooke of Winnipeg for a few years.

George has been involved in many community and farm groups. He is currently serving his second three-year term on Westoba’s Board of Directors holding committee member roles such as Chair of Policy Committee, and also Vice-Chair of Audit and Risk Committee.
