Reconciliation

Westoba operates throughout Manitoba and is located on the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe, Assiniboine, Cree, Ojibway, Oji-Cree, Dakota, Ininewak, Saulteaux, Dene People and the homeland of the Red River Metis. Our corporate office is located on Treaty 2 territory and our work extends throughout Treaties 1 and 5. We respect the treaties made on these territories and dedicate ourselves to move forward with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration through education and understanding.

Westoba’s reconciliation journey is led by the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Working Group consisting of employees and Westoba Executive representation. Through active participation in Indigenous led projects and events and as a financial literacy partner with Indigenous service providers, we are committed to doing our part in rebuilding healthy and respectful relationships with all our relations.
