Background and Experience
Hello, I am Rhonda Oakden CHS, QAFP™, and the Manager of Financial Planning Solutions at Westoba Credit Union. I believe my 20+ years of experience make me a valued asset to our growing team and members. My career path has included working my way through administrative roles to Branch Manager and, most recently, Paraplanner and Planning Consultant.
As Manager of Financial Planning, my aim is to get to know all our financial planning members, outlining their situation and determining priorities before my team and I dive into making recommendations. We value the relationship between our members and the financial planning team and strive to ensure you are aligned with the right fit advisor.
I was raised on a mixed grain and cattle farm north of Virden, graduated from Assiniboine Community College with a diploma in Agri-Business, and successfully completed the Canadian Securities course. As a life-long learner, I went on to obtain my Certified Health Specialist (CHS) designation, Qualified Associate Financial Planner certification, and continue to pursue further financial accreditations. As a member of Advocis, I’m licensed to provide life, disability, critical illness, and group insurance in the Province of Manitoba.
