When you join Westoba, you don’t just open an account. You become a part of a community where members come first.

We think membership is pretty special and it is open to everyone eighteen years of age and older. (For those under eighteen, check out our WestobaONE+ FREE Chequing Account!) Credit unions are founded on the principle of one member, one vote. When you join Westoba, you purchase a $5 common share, representing your ownership in the credit union. That money becomes a part of Westoba’s equity and stays on deposit in a common share account.

How do I become a member?

Joining is easy! To start the process, visit any of our branches or call us at 1-877-WESTOBA to book an appointment with a Financial Consultant. Your Financial Consultant will talk to you about your banking needs and will work with you to find the right financial products for you.

We like to take the time to get to know you and to discuss product options with you so that we can be sure that you’re getting the right products to suit your needs. This means that your appointment could take up to an hour. We understand that your time is valuable and we appreciate you taking the time to meet with us. We believe that it’s better to take the time to get everything right in the beginning than to see you encounter problems down the road.
