Canada Post began resuming operations as of Tuesday, December 17, 2024. Mail deliveries, including cards and paper statements, for your Westoba Credit Union account may be delayed as they begin the process of safely ramping up and stabilizing operations across the country. With their large, integrated network of processing plants, depots and post offices, stabilizing operations will take time. Westoba is actively monitoring the situation.
What You Need to Know
Statement Delays
If you receive paper statements, expect possible delays. Through online banking and our mobile apps you can:
- View your balance and transaction history
- Access your eStatements which is a digital version of your printed statement. To get set up with online banking, or if you need support call 1-877-WESTOBA (937-8622). For more information and how-tos, visit Manage your online account – Westoba.
Important: Ask to receive eStatements notifications and get an email reminder when your next statement is issued.
Statements can be printed in-branch for members at a $5.00 charge. Your original statement will still be mailed to you.
Card Delivery
Expect delays if you’re waiting for a replacement card (lost, stolen, or damaged). If this is impacting you, please call 1-877-WESTOBA (937-8622) to avoid any inconveniences.
Other potential impacts
- Member cheques orders if mailing is requested
- Foreign currency
- Potential delays around transferring in and out funds. We are working with members directly in finding a solution that works the best for their situation.
Mail delivery will resume once postal service is restored, though delays are likely as service catches up.
