On October 16, 2025, credit unions around the world joined together to celebrate International Credit Union (ICU) Day. This annual event is a time to reflect on the power of cooperation, the achievements of the global credit union movement, and the incredible impact that member-focused banking has in building stronger communities.
This year’s theme “Cooperation for a Prosperous World” reminded us that when individuals, businesses, and communities work together, everyone benefits. At the heart of every credit union is the belief that prosperity isn’t just about finances – it’s about making a difference in people’s lives.
