In the spring of 2021, the Friends of Rivers Lake Inc. received funding from Westoba Inspire to update the dock and boat launch at Daly Beach. The new dock requires minimal maintenance and offers great durability for people to enjoy for many years to come.
“The dock has truly benefitted the community,” said Samantha Lepp, Friends of Rivers Lake member. “It has been a busy year with the dock being a public access location; people are always looking for safe and affordable activities to partake in. With its close proximity to Rivers, Brandon and other surrounding towns, the beach has been a popular spot,“ said Lepp. “Visitors can not only launch their boats safely and efficiently, but many families have enjoyed swimming and fishing right off the dock; the boat launch has been expanded to allow for more boaters to unload at one time without waiting in line.”
Riverdale Municipality has noticed the popularity of the destination and has constructed new washroom facilities for visitors to use. Making it easier for people to come and spend the whole day at the beach. Most pack a picnic lunch to bring with them for the day.
Friends of Rivers Lake relies solely on generous funding from organizations and donors to complete upgrades and projects to make the lake more enjoyable for all the visitors.
