Send transfers, Auto-Deposit or Request Money anywhere, anytime with Interac e-Transfers®!

Here’s how e-Transfers® work:
Sending an Interac e-Transfer®
- Log in to online banking or WestobaGO mobile application.
- Click on Interac e-Transfers® or Send via INTERAC e-Transfer®
- If this is your first time sending an e-Transfer, you will have to set up your sender profile by filling out your personal information.
- Select the account to make the e-Transfer from.
- Choose a recipient’s name–or click Settings, Manage Recipients, then Add Recipients–and fill out the recipient’s information, including a security question they will be prompted to answer to deposit the e-Transfer into their account and the correct answer that they must provide.
- In the Amount box, enter the amount in Canadian funds to be transferred to the recipient.
- In the Message box, you can enter an optional message to the recipient; this could be a note about the transfer or an invoice number, for instance. Do not use this area to pass along the answer to the security question.
- Click Continue.
- Confirm the details of the e-Transfer on the next page and, if everything is correct, click Confirm.
Receiving an Interac e-Transfer®
- Click the link in the email message you received notifying you of the e-Transfer.
- In the Select Province or Territory drop-down box, choose Manitoba, and in the Select Credit Union drop-down, choose Westoba Credit Union Ltd. Click Deposit.
- If you are not currently logged into online banking, you will be brought to the login page. Log in. If you have not created a sender profile, you must create it now.
- In the Answer box, provide the answer to the security question. Click Continue.
- Click Deposit In and select the account to accept the funds to.
- In the Message to Sender box, type an optional message that will be sent to the sender.
- Click Accept.
Auto-Depositing an Interac e-Transfer® (Desktop Instructions)
- Log in to online banking
- Click ‘Transfers‘ and select Send via INTERAC e-Transfer® followed by Autodeposit
- Enter your primary e-mail address and select the account where you’d like to receive autodeposit
- After reading and understanding the statements in that section, check the boxes if you agree and click Register
- You will receive an email to confirm your registration. Check your inbox and click “Complete Registration“.
Auto-Depositing an Interac e-Transfer® (Mobile App Instructions)
- Log in to your WestobaGO mobile application
- Click Interac e-Transfer followed by Settings and choose the Autodeposit option
- Under the Enter your primary e-mail address and select the account where you’d like to receive autodeposit
- After reading and understanding the statements in that section, check the boxes if you agree and click Register
- You will receive an email to confirm your registration. Check your inbox and click “Complete Registration“.
Requesting Money through Interac e-Transfer® (Desktop Instructions)
- Log in to online banking
- Click Transfers and select Request Money via Interac e-Transfer
- Select the Recipient from the dropdown. If you don’t see the recipient in the list, please click Add New Recipient and complete the steps.
- Fill out the remaining details and click “Request“.
- Review the details and click “Confirm” to proceed.
Requesting Money through Interac e-Transfer® (Mobile App Instructions)
- Log in to your WestobaGO mobile application
- Click Interac e-Transfer and choose the Request option
- Select the Recipient from the dropdown. If you don’t see the recipient in the list, please click Settings then Manage Recipients and complete the steps.
- Fill out the remaining details and click Request.
- Review the details and click Confirm to proceed.
Creating a Sender Profile
- Enter your name in the Your Name box.
- Enter your email address in the Email box. Please double-check it for accuracy.
- Optionally, enter your mobile phone number in the Cell box.
- Tick the box under the cell field (optional, only tick if you want eTransfer notifications sent by text message and email)
- Click Save.
Editing a Sender Profile
- Log in to online banking.
- Click on Transfers, then Send Interac e-Transfer (or Interac e-Transfers for mobile users) then Edit Sender Profile.
- Make any changes you wish to your profile.
- Do not leave Name or Email boxes blank; these are required fields.
- When done, click Continue (or Update Profile for mobile users).
Adding / Deleting / Editing Recipients (Desktop Instructions)
- Log in to online banking.
- Click on Transfers, then Send Interac e-Transfer then Edit Recipients.
- To add a recipient: click Add Recipient then fill out the recipient’s information.
- To delete a recipient: click Delete to the right of the recipient’s name then click Confirm.
- To edit a recipient: click Edit to the right of the recipient’s name, make any desired changes to the information, click Continue and then on the confirmation screen that follows, click Confirm.
Adding / Deleting / Editing Recipients (Mobile App Instructions)
- Log in to your WestobaGO mobile application
- Click on Interac e-Transfers, then Recipients.
- To add a recipient: click Add New Recipient then fill out the recipient’s information.
- To delete a recipient: select the recipient to be deleted, click Delete then click Confirm.
- To edit a recipient: select the recipient to be edited, click Edit, make any desired changes to the information.
View Pending / Resend Notices / Cancel e-Transfers (Desktop Instructions)
- Log in to online banking.
- Click on Transfers, then Send Interac e-Transfer then click Pending or View/Resend/Cancel Pending Transfers. This allows you to view your pending e-Transfers.
- To resend an e-Transfer notice: click Resend Notice beside the pending e-Transfer, choose Confirm and the notice will be resent.
- To cancel an e-Transfer: click Cancel beside the pending e-Transfer, choose Continue and the e-Transfer will be canceled and the recipient notified.
View Pending / Resend Notices / Cancel e-Transfers (Mobile App Instructions)
- Log in to your WestobaGO mobile application.
- Click on Interac e-Transfers, then Pending Transfers. This allows you to view your pending e-Transfers.
- To resend an e-Transfer notice: click Resend Notice beside the pending e-Transfer, choose Confirm and the notice will be resent.
- To cancel an e-Transfer: click Cancel beside the pending e-Transfer; you may enter an optional message that will be sent to the recipient. Choose Confirm and the e-Transfer will be canceled and the recipient notified.
View e-Transfer History (Available on Desktop Only)
- Log in to online banking.
- Click on Transfers, then Send Interac e-Transfer then click History.
- Provide a start date in the From box and an end date in the To box then click Continue.
